Welcome!

Interested in joining the PulsarMC Team? Then you've come to the right place! These instructions explain everything you need to know about becoming a member of our fun and friendly team.

To give you a glimpse into the possibilities, there are five positions you can apply for: Editor, Event Manager, Builder, Helper, and Developer. Each position has its own unique characteristics and is completely different from the others. Below, you'll find each position's content and entry requirements. At the very bottom of this post, you'll find details on how to apply.

Functies​:​​

Event​

The events team manages all server-side events, including both general events and those Harm uses to create videos. This event role isn't part of the staff functions, but it can be combined with them.

Builder​

As a builder, you'll ensure all buildings look their best! The server's first calling card will be the beautiful spawns players encounter. You'll be involved in the team and have the freedom to contribute ideas for the buildings we think are necessary.

- Can demonstrate what you have achieved in your career;

Editor​

As an editor, you create content for the server. This includes YouTube and TikTok. You'll create videos of events, server promotions, and visuals of the server itself.

- Knowledge of replay mods is helpful (this is not a strict requirement);
- Once you decide to apply, please include a video or screenshots of your work;


Helper​

Helper is the first rank you'll receive as a new staff member. As a helper, you'll answer player questions in chat, monitor inappropriate behavior, and help the team improve the server. Without helpers, there's no Harm Server, and we can't continue innovating with large projects. You're the first point of contact for players and will always be the first to answer any questions.
You'll also help enforce the rules and maintain a friendly community in Discord. This way, we ensure everyone feels comfortable playing on the PulsarMC Server.
 
From the Helper role, it's possible to progress to the moderator position. It's not possible to apply for a moderator position directly. You'll first have to prove your skills as a helper before you can become a moderator. As a moderator, you'll be responsible for the server's staff. You'll monitor the chat, ensure griefers are punished, or take on additional tasks to support the server. You also ensure that helpers have extra support if they don't understand something. You'll have more permissions than a helper, allowing you to impose harsher punishments or rebuild demolished buildings.

Developer​

The development team is responsible for designing, setting up, maintaining, and improving the Minecraft server, website, online store, Discord, and everything related to it. You possess analytical skills to identify, understand, and solve any problems. You also ensure you stay up-to-date on the latest technological developments in Minecraft, Java, MySQL, and more.

- Java 11 and higher (>3 years of experience)
- Bukkit / Spigot API (>2 years of experience)
- Setting up/managing Bungeecord & Spigot servers
- SQL (>1 year of experience)
- Git (>3 months of experience)

You can apply for one of the above positions at the forum. Make sure you meet the job requirements and include the following information in your application:

  1. Introduce yourself (name, hobbies, etc.) We'd love to learn more about you.
  2. What is your age? (Some positions require a minimum age.)
  3. What motivates you to apply for this position?
  4. Why are you suitable for this position?
  5. Do you have any experience with this position? If so, please provide examples.

Please note, the following minimum requirements apply for each position:

  • You have a working microphone.
  • You have a Java Edition Minecraft account.
  • You have a verified Discord account.
  • You have a good track record regarding server penalties.

After you submit your application, one of our team members will review it thoroughly. You will receive a response within two weeks and may be invited for an interview. During this interview, an experienced person will discuss your application with you. You will also hear whether you are accepted.
